About
BACKGROUND:
My quest for making meaning finds expression in my passion for people and the desire to help them and the social systems they work in to perform at their peak and create value.
My areas of special interest are entrepreneurship, leadership, teams, change management and strategy. I have secured extensive exposure in these areas over the past decade through first hand experience in the capacity of consultant, coach, facilitator and trainer to large corporates and numerous SME’s, as well as lecturing on entrepreneurship to young adults. These themes were also central in my doctoral studies on corporate entrepreneurship.
In my thesis, “An Integrated Framework to Improve the Entrepreneurial Climate in the South African Mining Industry”, I identified the fundamental challenges facing the South African mining industry, and ways to overcome them through corporate entrepreneurship. The study investigated the theory of the entrepreneurial phenomenon in relation with organisational climate and leadership, and how it applies to the corporate environment in terms of upgrading innovative prowess and creating a climate conducive for entrepreneurial behavior to manifest. I identified thirteen constructs for a climate conducive to corporate entrepreneurship, and based on these constructs, conducted empirical research on the entrepreneurial climate in the South African mining industry. Forthcoming I concluded the study with development of an integrated framework for corporate entrepreneurship to improve the entrepreneurial climate in companies that can serve to facilitate ongoing change and innovation – a blueprint for coping effectively with the competitive realities that companies encounter.
I hold the degrees B.Com, MBA and PhD in Business Administration.
MY APPROACH:
I acknowledge the underlying premise that unless development initiatives have specific applications, the gains are not likely to translate into improved performance and value creation. This is where I meet the demands of today’s individuals, teams and organisations. I build processes not events. My philosophy is a collaborative process that involves long-term solutions, ascribing to processes that connect people to themselves, their teams and the organisation.

Empowering people to achieve peak performance.
